Are MBizM training programmes HRD Corp Claimable?
MBizM is a registered HRD Corp training provider. Most of our public training programmes are claimable under the SBL-Khas (Skills Based Learning - Special Emphasis) scheme, including all belt certification courses (Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt) in both classroom and virtual formats, as well as RCA, QIT/QCC 7QC Tools, VSM, Lean Auditing, Step Up to Black Belt, and Pay per Phase Green Belt. A small number of courses (QFD, QS E3, SATSS, 8D Approach, Kaizen Yellow Belt) are not currently HRD Corp Claimable. The Master Black Belt programme is fully HRD Corp Claimable. What is the difference between Yellow Belt, Green Belt, and Black Belt certification?
Yellow Belt (3 days) provides foundational knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and the DMAIC methodology - suitable for team members and supervisors. Green Belt (5-6 days) builds hands-on project capability for professionals who lead departmental improvement projects. Black Belt (8 days) covers advanced statistical analysis and cross-functional project leadership for delivering high-impact business results. Each level builds on the previous one, though prior certification is not required to enrol in Green Belt or Black Belt programmes.
Do I need prior experience to attend Six Sigma training?
No prior Six Sigma experience is needed for Yellow Belt or the Comprehensive Introduction to Six Sigma (CISS) course. Green Belt and Black Belt programmes are designed for professionals from any department or industry - no statistical background is required. The Master Black Belt programme is the only course with prerequisites: a Black Belt certification and at least 3 years of improvement project experience.
What certification do participants receive after completing training?
MBizM is accredited by IASSC (International Association for Six Sigma Certification), CSSC (Council for Six Sigma Certification), ILSSI (International Lean Six Sigma Institute), and PeopleCert for internationally recognised Lean Six Sigma certifications. Certification details and exam formats may vary by programme. Please contact us or visit the individual course page for specific certification information.
What is the difference between classroom and virtual training?
Classroom training is conducted face-to-face at our training centre in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, or at a hotel within the Klang Valley. The exact training venue will be communicated to participants approximately two weeks prior to the training commencement. These sessions include hands-on workshops and group exercises. Virtual training is instructor-led via live video, offering the same curriculum and level of interaction, and can be accessed from anywhere. Virtual training is typically priced lower than classroom equivalents
Can MBizM conduct in-house training for my organisation?
Yes. MBizM offers customised in-house training for groups, delivered at your premises or a venue of your choice. In-house programmes can be tailored with case studies and exercises using your organisation's actual processes and data. Is there a payment plan available for certification programmes?
Yes. MBizM offers staggered payment options for selected certification programmes. The Pay per Phase Green Belt programme (RM5,500 over 5 months) specifically allows participants to pay RM1,100 per DMAIC phase, spread across 5 months. Contact us to discuss flexible payment arrangements for other programmes.
